“I GUARANTEE THAT YOU CAN KNOW PEACE WITH GOD, PEACE OF SOUL, PEACE OF MIND, AND JOY SUCH AS YOU HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED.” – BILLY GRAHAM

What does it mean to believe in Jesus?

Believing in Jesus means more than just acknowledging His existence or agreeing with His teachings. It involves trusting in Him fully and committing to a personal relationship with Him. To believe in Jesus is to have faith that He is the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again, offering us eternal life.

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” - Romans 10:9

How do I believe in Jesus?

  1. Acknowledge Your Need: Recognize that you are in need of a Savior. Understand that everyone falls short and needs forgiveness and grace.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” - Romans 3:23-24

  2. Confess and Repent: Admit your sins and ask for forgiveness. Repentance means turning away from your old ways and choosing to follow Jesus.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - I John 1:9

  3. Invite Jesus into Your Life: Express your belief in Jesus and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. You can do this through a simple prayer, inviting Him to guide and transform your life.

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - Romans 10:13

How do I pray to receive Jesus as my Savior?

Here’s a short prayer:

“Dear God,
I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died
for my sin and that you raised Him to life.
I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord,
from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

What does it mean to follow Jesus?

When you believe in Jesus, you accept His love and sacrifice, and you choose to follow His guidance in your daily life. This belief transforms your heart and mind, leading you to live in a way that reflects His teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness. It’s about trusting Jesus as your Savior, relying on Him for strength and direction, and growing in your relationship with Him through prayer, study, and community with other believers.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. - Romans 12:1-2

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20
